This page describes what CapitalReady keeps, and who can see it, as of November 4, 2026.

Private to this engagement

An organization’s answers, figures, and documents are not published. Other organizations cannot see them. The foundation officers who administer CapitalReady can read the assessment.

What is kept

CapitalReady keeps the email address used to sign in, the person’s name when one is entered, and whether they are a participant or an admin.

For an organization, it keeps the organization record, the project, the assessment answers, the figures, and the documents uploaded with the assessment. A document can be an audit, a financial statement, a budget, or a giving history.

Figures are read from an uploaded document and shown for confirmation. Only the figures the participant confirms are used.

Looking up an organization uses the public IRS Form 990 record to suggest a name and up to three years of financials. That public record is separate from the answers entered in the assessment.

A sign-in code, and an invitation, are sent to the email address on the account.

A removed sign-in

Removing a person deletes their sign-in. Their organization’s assessment stays, so the foundation officers who administer CapitalReady can still read it.
